Is Your Hair Care Making You Sick? Healthy Lifestyle Topic

Is your hairdressing making you sick? Epidermis and head process a lot, delivering it directly into the blood vessels. The moisturiser you put on your epidermis vanishes, right? Would you really eat that locks dye or shampoo? Or take in ammonia, swimming pool water or formaldehyde?

Here’s 5 sessions of components you, your beautician and your family want to stay away from. Prevent skin rashes, harmful complications, infected head, and substance excess. Especially important if you are expecting, immune-compromised, ageing, being affected by your health or just want to keep it clean!

1). The paraben group

Methylparabens and Propylparabens are common additives in skin and locks items. Many people are sensitive to them and get annoyed head with a paraben item. They’re easy to find on brands of creams, cleansing agents, cleansing agents and more.

2). Substances in straighteners

Brazilian Seasonal and other hair styling and keratin remedies are well known for launching formaldehyde when warmed. Substances is a known carcinogen and causes difficulty in respiration, skin rashes and harmful excess. The FDA has cautioned beauty parlors about this for years but doesn’t implement the ban.

There are solutions but you have to ask your salon.

3). Substances in locks dye

Many locks shades contains harmful chemicals prohibited in European countries long ago. There are more secure solutions if you ask your salon, research, or stop shading your locks. (I ceased when I converted 50. Why battle a losign battle)?

Environmental Operating Team (www.ewg.org) is the place to look for any hair shampoo, shade, beauty products, or cream. It’s an amazing source – 100 % completely free – position items and individual components on a 1 – 10 range. Take some time and look for every skin and locks item in your home (including your kids’ sun block and shower bubbles). You may soon be at Whole Meals or on Amazon buying more secure items. (But study those labels)!

Products marketed to salon experts often don’t have components detailed. Only retail outlet items must list them so don’t fault your beautician if they don’t know what you’re asking and have to contact the rep. It’s their job so don’t feel quilty about asking.

Chemicals to prevent consist of Ammonia, Lead, Resorcinol, PPD, Isoproply Liquor and MANY more – persist on a more secure brand!

4). Substances in hair shampoos, hair conditioners, establishing creams, body system fresh, detergent, beauty products, lipstick….

Perfumes – don’t get me started on this one. I won’t buy anything that has the phrase Perfume on business. Which contains soaps, bathroom tissue, detergent, moisturiser, lip stick or ground better.
SLS (and various punctuation versions) is Salt Laurel Sulfate. It’s the foamy commercial better and degreaser generally found in cleansing agents, hair shampoo and tooth paste. Yuk!
DEA – a lathering broker, like SLS.
Propylene Glycerin – also known as anti-freeze. What?? Yes, but you’ll see it hidden as PEG or PPG on labels

Here’s the components in a top-selling Nexxus shampoo: does this look “edible” to you?

Water, Salt Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin Distearate, Salt Chloride, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Grain Proteins, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Polyquaternium-10, Perfume, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Glycerin, Gluconolactone, PPG-9, Trehalose, Citric Acidity, Adipic Acidity, Salt Sulfate, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Actin, Hydrolyzed Roe, Fucus Vesiculosus Draw out, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, PPG-2 Hydroxyethyl Cocamide.

Here’s a hair shampoo I use from “Just Naturals”. This looks better!

Aloe Notara Hydrosol, Noni Fruits Draw out, Pawpaw Draw out, Grape Oil, Lemon Flower Important Oil, Amyris Important Oil, Grain Proteins, Chia Seeds Oil, Meadowfoam Seeds Oil, Sunflower Seeds Oil, Bergamot Important Oil, Soothing cleansing agents, Geranium Important Oil, Cellulose, Thyme Important Oil, Guar Gum, Veggie Glycerin, Caprylyl Glycerin, Banaba Draw out, Citric Acidity, Panthenol Supplement B5.

5).  Gluten

Are you preventing gluten? If you have gluten antibodies or Leaking Gut (this Cyrex Lab make sure Seek advice from can analyze for that), you must avoid gluten in your locks, skin and beauty products too.

Check brands on hair shampoo, refresher and body system fresh for wheat or gluten. While you’re at it, look for your lip stick, eyeshadow and base online with the phrase “gluten” in the Search Bar or try this site for recommendations. Cosmetics don’t have complete brands – you have to look them up.

Ask your salon to confirm with their rep for gluten-free hair shampoo, shades and hair conditioners. Or bring your own secure hair shampoo and refresher (or just have them wet your fresh locks before cutting).  I threw in the towel all salon therapies when I noticed their items were resulting in my scratchy head, not solving it!
